We were using Terence's GPS to get us up there and he knew how to search on it for various things. We found a few campgrounds nearby and I tried calling, but no one answered. Plan 2: Find a McDonald's and use their free WiFi with Terence's laptop to help with the search. So away we went. Twenty minutes later we were taking up a lot of space in a Walgreen's parking lot (with the camper) while the kids and Terry went across the street to hook up to the internet. So we drank coffee from McDonald's and ate jelly beans from Walgreens and Terry and the kids found another campground just up the highway. Fortunately Terry was able to get a hold of their security and found out they had room for us.
It felt good not to have to turn around and head all the way back home that night. The lesson learned: I will try and make reservations whenever I can!
We were all hooked up by 9 PM and enjoyed a good night's rest.
The next day we took a 4 mile hike up near Cartersville, Georgia. It had some really neat stuff to see.
After the hike we headed into Atlanta to visit our favorite Japanese grocery store for goodies and then we went to the Cumberland Mall. The girls had 1 1/2 hours to look around. Terry and the boys stayed with Ellie in the truck. :)
Back at the campground, we walked around. The kids found an old playground to enjoy.
The Easter Bunny visited us in the RV on Easter morning. He even managed to hide all four baskets.
After coffee and breakfast, we packed up and headed home. The weather was beautiful, everyone pulled together to keep going on Friday night and another wonderful trip is logged!
