Holiday Campground, LaGrange, Georgia

Terry and I have been considering full-time RV-ing once the children are grown. Since we have never pulled anything with a truck or a car and have only camped in tents, we thought it might be timely and wise to purchase a travel trailer that sleeps 6 and start the experience while the children are still at home. So the adventure begins....

We thought we would stay local with our first outing and enjoy what Lagrange has to offer. When arriving at the Holiday Campground we were greeted by a family of wild turkeys.



Terry's getting really good at backing up the RV. We found a nice site on West Point Lake.






Dylan is our fire starter and had a nice fire going for us. We enjoyed the toasted marshmallows!


The girls went exploring on their bikes the night we arrived (Friday). They told us about a dock that they found. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the dock on Saturday and watched the sun come up. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

We didn't have any activities planned for the weekend and took advantage of a nature hike through the woods. Dylan and the girls had fun riding their bikes and unicyle. Ellie enjoyed all of the walks. Unfortunately Terence had to work during the day.






After lunch Dylan and Terry inflated a small row boat given to us a few years ago by Terry's Aunt and Uncle.


While they were outside working on the boat, Jessie Ann was relaxing inside with a book.


The kids enjoyed splashing around on the lake.


While watching the kids in the water, Terry and I spotted a Blue Herring on the shore. You can see it if you look carefully through the leaves and branches.



Sarah Joy was tuckered out after all that fresh air and exercise!


We took the short walk back to the dock after dinner to show Terence.





Terry likes to wear socks with his sandals. I think it is mostly for mosquito protection.

We are hoping to take one trip each month. All in all it was a great first outing!
