Cabin Fever

We have had a colder than normal winter here in Georgia and by mid February we were very ready for some warmth and sunshine. The forecast looked good for the weekend of February 20th, 2010 and so we loaded up the camper that Saturday morning and went back to the campground by the dam. Other people had the same idea and there were only a handful of sites left by the time we arrived late morning.

While Terry and I were organizing things at the site, Dylan and the girls discovered a warm patch of earth for our picnic lunch. After lunch Dylan gathered everything up in the sheet and lugged it back to the camper for us.

Sarah Joy took this opportunity to practice her back hand springs.

And what did we do after lunch? What we usually do....we took a hike through the woods. It was warming up and we were loving being outside.

Dylan having fun on his unicycle.

Jessie Ann found some interesting growths on reeds and was smashing them against the rocks to see what was inside.

Terence made it to the campground, from work, in time to enjoy another beautiful sunset.

Baked potatoes and beans for supper around a perfect campfire for a filling meal and wonderful conversation.

Ellie happy to call it a day!
